And here we are  January 30th

I made a new layout. I’m trying a new style. I’m not sure how much I like it yet, and I’m not really sure how it looks for others (mainly for those with other screen resolutions… like those with really big resolutions). Well, let me know if it looks all right to you and your screen resolution, browser, etc. I would appreciate it.

If you missed my last blog, you may be wondering why some things are missing or different. Short story – I was cleaning up and removing the databases and WP installations of past hostees, aaaaaannnnnddd… well, I accidentally deleted mine. So I decided just to start anew. It’s kind of fun to start fresh, in a way, although I am a bit annoyed at myself for not paying attention to what I was doing.

So what’s missing? A few pages from the About Me section and the works from 2004-2007 from the Writing section. The “essential” things are all back though, as are all of the pages that were previously in the Extras section, now renamed Misc for Miscellaneous Stuff.

Life-wise, I’m going to find that the semester has kicked in finally. I have put off my NMR virtual lab for far too long, so I have to do that this weekend, in addition to writing the prelab for the epoxidation lab and studying for the epoxidation quiz in Orgo Chem lab. In addition, I have a Physics exam next week. I don’t think I’m prepared. We’ll see how it goes. Hopefully the NMR virtual lab runs smoothly because I have only the weekend left to do it! (Of course I’m not doing it tonight!) And the program we have to use for it only works on Windows PCs, so I have to use my friend’s computer to get it done.

Tonight, my friends and I are going ice skating for the first time this semester. I’m excited to use my new ice skates! I got my own skates for Christmas because I was tired of renting every time we went. Hopefully this will be a money saver.

Also, and note to my commenters, I have it set so that if you’re a first-time commenter, I will have to approve your comment first. Since pretty much everyone is considered a first-timer at this point, do not be alarmed if your comment does not post right away.

What are your plans for the upcoming weekend?

Edit: I’ve been tagged by Sara, so if you’re interested in my responses, read on:

  1. Grab the book closest to you. Go to page 64. Find the 7th sentence and type it.
  2. Go your itunes or WMP or whatever Music player you use. set it to random/shuffle. Press next track 5 times. Then find the lyrics to that song. Find the 5th line of that song’s lyrics and type it.
  3. 3. Grab a newspaper or a magazine. Go to page 4. Find the 4th sentence and type it.
  4. 4. Go to Wikipedia. Go to Random Article. Find the 6th line and type it.
  5. 5. Go to Livejournal. Go to Random Journal. Find there 2nd newest journal and type the 1st line. (If this person’s journal is private, empty or in a different language try another Random Journal)
  1. “The term bittersweet, connoting pleasure mixed with sadness, conveys our ambivalence about bitter tastes.”
  2. “This truth drives me into madness.”
  3. I don’t have any newspapers or magazines in my room and therefore I’m not going to do this one.
  4. “Canada. A full scale production plant capable of producing 50 to 100 million gallons of cellulosic ethanol is expected to go online in 2011.”
  5. “SO much better than my high school bio class was!”

Ooh! I like this one! It’s pretty!

Thanks for the help with all of my errors btw, hopefully I can get rid of some of them, if not all.

Why are they actually bad? What is going to happen to my site if I don’t fix them?

My plans for the weekend, um…not a lot. I have to go back to work on Monday so I’m planning on doing absolutely NOTHING while I still can, haha!

Wow. 3000? Your classes must’ve been PACKED x-x

Your layouts cute and it works fine in my browser (Firefox, 1024×768)
    Have fun skating! ^^

What are your plans for the upcoming weekend?
Nothing much, probably just bum out at home.

I like the new layout :) It looks fine on my browser (Firefox 3.0.5) and in 1280×800 resolution. However, your navigation bar isn’t centered, and I’m not sure if you did that on purpose or not.

It sounds like you have a busy (and rather painful, or at least I think so….blegh, orgo *shudders*) week ahead of you, good luck with everything! No specific plans for the weekend, except maybe catch up on sleep. Have fun ice skating :)

Oh I really like this new layout! :) It looks perfectly fine in mine. I’m using Firefox and a 1024×768 resolution.

I guess I missed the part about you deleting stuff; that really sucks. I’m sorry! But a fresh start can be helpful sometimes.(:

Ice skating? Oh, I’ve never been… I’d probably kill myself if I tried though. xD

I’ve tagged you, just something to do if your bored.

Anyhow, I like this layout and I love the colors. Sometimes simple just works although when I tried it no one liked it. Oh well.
I hate when I delete stuff by accident, you’re always sure you don’t need it and then you’re thinking ‘where did that page go?’

i like this new layout you’re trying out. :) my screen resolution is 1280 by 800, and it looks perfectly fine in Firefox. :)
It’s not fair how teachers get away with things students don’t. But teachers DID have to go through the same thing, so you do have a point. :D
I love ice skating! I have my own skates too, but the only bad part about it is that your feet grow. xD

I haven’t seen the previous layout, but I really like the look of this one :) . My resolution is 1024×768 and it’s perfectly fine for me. Wow… your classes scare me. I’ve never been into the physical sciences (like bio, chem, physics, etc), I’m into the social sciences haha. I went ice skating for the first time last week and I definitely suck at it, but it’s a lot of fun! My plans for the weekend has ended, I just saw a film with my bff.

Wow the in the small amount of time, you still managed to whip up a really nice theme. I love the colors you chose and they make me feel all happy and what not. It’s really nice ;) I have a sort of wide resolution and it looks fine.

So is this where the procrastination begin? -teehee- It was just a mater of time right? I really wish you the best on your Physics exam. I was never too keen about that subject, but I’m sure you’ll do better than you’re expecting.

Again, love the new layout. The “fresh start” has done you a lot of justice.

By the way, if you used the same SQL information, all of your wordpress stuff should have been the same..
