Not to worry April 12th
“Not to worry. I am the instructor. You will get in.”
This was the email response of my faculty adviser, whom I emailed after being unable to register for the lab section I needed because the spots were already filled up. The other lab section conflicted with my education class, and thus I needed to be in this particular section. Short story shorter, I got into the section, and now I am all registered for the classes I need to take next semester.
My friend Nicole and I also selected our living quarters for next semester, and we wound up getting a really great location! We are in the on-campus apartments like we wanted, and it is almost surprising that the one we got was not already taken! We will be living super close to a bus stop and mailbox cluster, and we are pretty much across the street from the student center and the ice skating rink. Obviously, we are really happy.
Now we are planning for all the things we will need to live well next year, such as cookware and bathroom stuff, and we are going to split the necessities between the two of us.
As a result, I am so excited to decorate our space. I spent the better part of yesterday thinking about what color throw pillows I want to make this summer for our living room, haha. I’ve been going through Bed, Bath, & Beyond looking at their products to give me ideas. We need to bring our own shower curtain and such, and I found a few super cute ensembles that would totally make my life if we got, hehe. This is the product of my ponderings yesterday about our living room and bathroom:
I think I may ask my mom to make us a slipcover for the sofa, seeing as she has made slipcovers for pretty much every chair in our house, and she is excited to have some projects to do this summer. I just have to measure the couch when I go visit my friend in her apartment (they’re all the same), and I think my mother would be happy to do it. This would make our space seem so much nicer, and, well, only God knows how many people have used that couch… and yeah.
Anyway, I hope that everyone has a great day, especially to those celebrating Easter today!
