Traveling July 2nd
Listen to this blog. If you’re too lazy to read this blog, let me read it to you.
I know I said that I’m not a novelist, but it actually is my goal in life to publish one novel, among hopefully numerous volumes of poetry. I would be kind of like Sylvia Plath, who’s known primarily for poetry and a novel, The Bell Jar, but only in terms of publications. Don’t expect me to bake my head in an oven anytime soon; I don’t plan to. Anyway, I have this idea that I think would be great. I know how I want to execute it. But I’m just bad at writing stuff down. I keep writing snippets here and there, and they are desperately needing many words to unite them.
Just a heads up – I’m going to California on Saturday, and I’ll be gone for a week. I don’t know if I’ll have internet access while I’m there, and if so, I don’t know how much I’ll be online. This will probably be my last blog until July 11th or later. I wanted to let you know, in case you happen to be wondering about my whereabouts.
Speaking of travels, Dan and I did indeed go down the shore for the afternoon on Monday. Being down there really made me want to get sand between my toes and lie on the beach all day. We just spent our time on the boardwalk and not the actual beach, but I should get my opportunity when my parents and I go to California, so my summer won’t be incomplete.
I hope you all have a good week while I’m away. To those of you who will be celebrating Independence Day on Saturday, I hope you have a nice holiday. I will be on a plane… reading, hopefully.
Edit on July 3rd: I’ve added an Ask Me section. I thought it would be fun. So go ahead and ask me something. -nudge-

That would be awesome if you published a novel! I would definitely read it. ;D Hm. I don’t think I’ve heard of Sylvia Path before.. I mean, I’ve heard the name, but I don’t know who she is.. :O No need to rush with your idea, take your time. :]
Cool! Have fun in California! Are you going to Nor. Cal. or So. Cal.?
I’m glad it was a nice day for you on Monday. I love going to the beach. It’s so relaxing and it’s also reallyyy fun. (:

Have fun, I’ve always wanted to go to California! I’m so jealous, lol. Yeah I love the beach. I’ll be going to Florida next month…plenty of sunshine, beach and fun. And are you gonna be in So. Cal? That’s where I wanna go

Ah yes, I totally agree with you. I guess some people don’t think like that, though. D:
Heh, I’ve thought of doing that several times, but I’d feel bad if I did that to my affiliates. D: I guess there are some things that just can/can’t be done. ;x I really hate to read those comments, though. I mean, some people comment with like “Hey, how are you?” on a blog they clearly didn’t read. Not that I mind the how are you question, but it’d be nice if they showed they cared about me in a way other than asking how I am XD
Thanks
It did…. for now, I hope. LOL. My computer likes to act up whenever it feels like it.
I’ve never heard of Sylvia Plath before, but novelist/poet? that sounds good
I remember when I used to want to be a novelist. Ah, I wish that idea turned out good, because I love writing. My friend finished 2 books so far and she’s currently looking for a publisher. That’s the only part I hate about writing ;x it’s so hard to find someone that’s willing to publish you.
Have fun in California
! The weather here is beautiful so far. Definitely good weather for the beach. The beaches here tend to get moody, though. Sometimes it’s sunny inland but super cloudy by the shores.

Hey!
Yea, The Bell Jar sounds pretty cool! I know what you mean about the snippets and everything. Ugh, that’s my problem too! GRRR.
Sorry for being sorta absent. I’ll also be more absent XD
Yea, I won’t cause an “environmental catastrophe” lol. Well strike the environmental part at least. There might be a catastrophe. lol. Lets hope not. But hey, there’s always the lake. Fire and water don’t work.
So how’ve ya been?

I listened to your blog today instead of reading; just for a change. I must say, it’s a very smart idea to do that. And you speak slowly and clearly as well which makes it really interesting!
Going to the beach is a must in summer so I hope you do get to spend some time there, no matter where. The feeling of sand between the toes is really nice.
I hope you have a good trip! And try and grab some internet access to update us.
I used to like Nutri grain a lot, but then I ate it so much that I got sick of having it.
I barely eat cereal; I usually eat bread or soup!
I actually met a lot of my friends at camp at the beginning of high school. They aren’t my close friends but we had some good, good times.

You’re welcome for the review!
I’m quite tired so sorry I didn’t email you about it… or did I? Hahha my mind is boggled. Nevertheless, you’re welcome. I really enjoyed looking at your website. Top job on the poems. LOVE LOVE.
*thumbs up* It’s really amazing how you write very well; I hate how grammar has gone down the drain on the internet.

Yeah it was really sweet that everyone was so worried about me, because it goes to show how many people care.
It was pretty funny though since I was fine the whole time. Haha.
Literally everyone spazzed on me as soon as I went on twitter.
That’s so cool that you want to publish a novel sometime in your life. :O Omg, I would never be able to do that haha, cause I dislike writing very much.
I wish you the best of luck with your goal though.
Hope you have an amazing time in California, and it sounds like you had a pretty relaxing day at the beach.
Have fun! Talk to you soon.

I hope you have an awesome time on your trip coming… tomorrow? Yes tomorrow is Saturday, well done Ben. (:
I love Sylvia Plath’s work. We are studying one of her pieces in school and it is really good, though I never knew she did a novel too. o_o; INTERESTING.
Yeah, it’s my parents though so I don’t really have a choice in the matter. They went to be the other day that we should go shopping for cool hiking clothes and I was like hiking AND camping. Ah hell no.

Aww I’m the same. I want to publish books and stuff too but when I comes to writing everything its really hard. :/
Have a great time in Calafornia!
I’m sure it’ll be great.
I’m sorry I didn’t reply to your comment on my blog about people saying life sucks; your site wasn’t loading even after half an hour so I sort of gave up. :X
In reply to your recent comment, aha. Crocs definately need to be burned, they do nothing whatsoever apart from bring themselves, and others to shame.
And I agree; education is something important and basic, and that affects life so much, you should be able to have one, whoever you are.
Although it depends what type of music you’re into. They’re all a bit on the rocky side.
You should listen to them, they’re good.
Isn’t Safari pretty similar to Firefox?

I’d really like to read one of your works, I think it’d be awesome. I like when people I know write too, because then we all know the pains of writing blocks. =P You know what I’d like to do? I’ve always wanted to publish my own book of short stories. I don’t think I’ll ever have the will to write a full novel, but I really like the idea of short stories. Short snippets. It’s cute. =]
Hey hey! Californiaaa! Haha, I don’t know if you’ll see this before you’ve left but what part of CA are you coming to??
[Reply]
I love The Bell Jar, one of my favorite books
Have fun in California! And cake is super awesome!
[Reply]
Niiice, you’re on your way to California right now.
I’ve never been there, but I want to someday. Seems very pretty, especially if you go to the right places. Where are you going there??
Anyway,, have fun!

Ugh, I hate writing. xD Well, writing isn’t all that bad, but I hate how we have to write essays and whatnot on a specific topic in school. I suck at that. I like writing about whatever we want to, though. It’s sort of easier because I know what I want to write, and with essays, you have to write about one thing. Boring! xD
Haha, Jim the Ferret?! O_o Strange. xD But I suppose Bob the Squirrel is as strange.
We still talk on aim, though.
Wow, it’s so sad how their lives were cut so short. :/ They were only 50! They only lived a bit more than half their lives.

I asked a totally generic question on your questions page.
Definitely; reviewers should be pretty analytic and at least get the site name right. You don’t really see critics of movies spelling that wrong. Heh.
Haha well you can have a versatile name too, I guess. For me it looks nicer without the space – LoveChem – but I don’t mind, hehe.
I had my last name spelled wrong once; it was on a piano exam notice so my teacher called them up right away. Must have been the writing they could read – that was back in the day.
A lot of people pronounce it wrong but it’s not as bad as spelling I guess.

I really need to go to the beach soon. I haven’t been able to do so this summer. It sucks!

That’s awesome that you want to be published! That sounds like a really cool goal to have =) What kind of novel are you thinking of writing?
Hope you have a great time in California!! My family just went there (without me!) a few weeks ago, and from their pictures, it looks beautiful =) I’d really like to get to see it someday!
Mm… I could do with a little beach visiting =) That’s nice that you at least got to go to the shore, even if you didn’t get a chance to get down to the beach…
[Reply]
That would be so cool if you published a novel! I’d love to read it
Lately I’ve started writing short stories. I’ve not gotten very far but I’m hoping to at least finish one or two, that’s my big goal as far as writing goes.
Hope you have fun in California, I’m sure you will

It is really fun to work with young kids, but it’s also SO tiring. Today we went to the pool, and I was a basically a diving board for the kids the whole time. I’m so sore now, haha.
That’s awesome; you should dress up as McGonagall anyway! I think I may be Hermione….but I don’t know. Well, I have like a week to decide.
Ooh, haha, I love that website (MLIA)! My friend and I were reading MLIA out loud from the site and laughed so hard XD
I totally understand your trouble with writing down ideas and executing them. I have an idea for a novel too, but I can’t seem to start… have you heard of NaNoWriMo? It’s nanowrimo.org and it’s a month long novel writing endeavor in November. You should check it out; it might give you the boost you need, lol.
Have fun traveling! It sounds like it will be a lot of fun. Enjoy the beach

Well you don’t have to post funny things, you can post quotes or chats or songs you like… anything you want!
I hope you have fun on your vacation!

It’s also been one of my lifelong dreams to be able to write a novel.. I believe it’s pretty interesting how several people (including yourself and me) have chosen that goal
I remember once, when I was seven years old, I attempted writing a novel and FAILED completely
as I was obviously trying to pattern it after a novel I’d previously read with a rather dark theme.
That was my first attempt; and up ’til now I continue to laugh at it
The very same event inspired me to write another novel though
I was ten years old at the time, a little more “mature” in terms of my thinking, for by that time I had already hit puberty. Gone were the days of infantile novel-writing, or so it seemed. At least that was what I’d been thinking
True enough, I was able to accomplish a novel about World War 2
Although the novel itself wasn’t at all unknown to people I simply couldn’t facilitate its completion for one reason: it just wasn’t good enough. Two years passed; I wrote another novel, this time a coming-of-age story with 400+ pages. It wasn’t at all pathetic, however it was overly philosophical :O Probably one day I might get both novels published, though not in the near future I guess ~ some major editing is what I need this time. Major editing which I won’t be able to do — yet. I’m far too busy for that. :O However, just like you, I would like to have it printed, and hopefully many people would buy it — though I doubt this would ever happen at all
Say, how about you and I collaborate on a single novel?
Nah, just kidding, but hey, what do you think? Suppose it would be a good idea? I wonder how our novel would turn out
Traveling, say, I’ve always loved traveling
Car trips are da bomb
It’s all right, we’ll understand
after all, July 11th IS tomorrow
which leaves me one day of waiting for your next blog, since I’m a new visitor and I’m not really familiar with your blogging style.. yet
I’ve managed to read your About Page, plus that Questions and Answers section was pretty brilliant!
Now I see that you’re a mixed-breed just like myself.. and you’re part-Irish, part-Filipino! Which is so cool because hey, guess where I live at the moment!
