Time Flies  July 27th

Listen to this blog. If you don’t feel like reading this post, let me read it to you.

There is less than one month until I have to return to Syracuse for my second year of college. Where have these weeks gone? I haven’t read all these books or cooked all these meals or spent enough time with Dan. Soon I’ll have to start spending money on books that are too expensive and food for my roommate Nicole and I to eat. Hopefully, I will get the same job I had last semester. I must track down the Physics 211 instructor and inform him of my interest. If I don’t get this job, I’ll have to find another one that I probably won’t like as much and will likely require me to work more hours. Otherwise, I’ll just be draining my bank account with no income to replenish it.

I have so much stuff that I have to take up to school with me. It’s kind of ridiculous. I’m really wondering how I’m going to get everything to fit into my dad’s van. You need a lot to live in an apartment. Thank goodness for roommates! I couldn’t imagine buying and bringing all of this stuff by myself. Nicole’s got the other half of our necessities. I should take a picture of all this stuff. It’s a lot. It occupies about a third of my bedroom, if not more.

Since I mentioned Dan earlier, this Wednesday marks our second anniversary. That’s right; we’ve been together for two years. Time goes by fast. Last week, we went out for dinner at our favorite local Italian restaurant. It’s like “our place.” We always go there. The waitresses ought to know us by now. Our original plans were to go to the Max Brenner chocolate restaurant in Philadelphia, but I didn’t feel like taking the time to get there. We were going to take the train because it’s easier than driving into the city, but that would create a lot of travel time. I just wanted something simple. Something “us.”

ETA: Jim Johnson, defensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles, died today, July 28th, at the age of 68 after a battle with melanoma that had spread to his spine. I grew up in a house of Eagles fans, and I became an avid fan myself in 2002. All my memories of American football have Jim Johnson in them. He was an excellent coach and really gave our team a solid defense. Honestly, he was a genius. He seemed to have been a wonderful, sincere man, and he will be very sorely missed. It’s been a tough year for Philadelphia sports… with the passing of Harry Kalas, Gary Papa, and now Jim Johnson. Rest in peace, Jim. ♥

Hm…I haven’t had a real summer vacation since I’ve started college. XD But thats my own fault for taking summer classes and being all ahead of the game. Oooh, moving out into your own apartment to live in! =P I hope you get along well with your roomie! I thought I got along well with mine but eh…living with them for the past year and a half has gotten me pretty irritated at them – sometimes. From the looks (or sounds, haha) of it, you and your roommate seem to have everything under control and are cool with the whole sharing thing. Money and “who owns what” is driving me crazy at my apartment. =[

Wow, two years! Congrats sweetie! That’s like the second longest relationship anyone that I have ever known has been in (lol i know, sad). ^^; Its great to see!
